Why some Americans are so ignorant about their southern neighbor?

We have more than 2 million fellow americans living in Mexico and of course they�ve experienced what this great country is like, but I�ve noticed that hundreds of comments about Mexicans are inadequate and people answer without knowing the facts probablly because of lack of interest or just ignorance, things like we only eat tacos or burritos,or is a dry land or there are not european mexicans are completely wrong,our cuisine is one of the world�s most extensive, our country has all types of landscapes from desert to forests to snow capped mountains to jungle and our population is extremely diverse ,from pure indian to mestizo, jewish, lebanese, european whites, asian and afro in the coast. I guess i�m just tired of reading comments about latin america and specially from Mexico that aren�t adequate. Peace and love to everyone and have a nice day.
