Can I protect rental property in an LLC?

I lost my job and have about $60K in credit card bills that I cannot afford any more. I was considering bankruptcy in a few months but want to know if there is a way to keep my rental house from getting a lien put on it. If I create an LLC to hold the property can a creditor still attach the property. Right now it is in sole proprietor. I am in CT.
