ANOTHER final fantasy question?

hi guys n gals can any 1 tell me how i get YUFFIE to appear? its early in the game and i know shes supposed 2 be in a forest north of mount condor. theres a small 1 and a big forest side by side. iv been fighting in them 4 almost 2 hours but no sign of her!!!! how do i get the lil tart 2 appear ?? ty
