Extra/overgrown bones? On knee, shoulder, fingers, wrist, ankle, femur?

Been to my family physician in October, got x-rays and was told that I was going to be contacted by a bone specialist and that this was something that was never seen before. She told me that 'they' (doctors) would most likely want to conference my x-rays since it seems to be so rare. I just wish I knew what it was. I know that it has to be hereditary since my pops has it, my twin bro and now two of my three children. My youngest is 15 months so might be too early to tell. What really gets me is that I was checking my 3 year old daughter (my only girl) if/where she had them and they are located in the exact same places as mine. How is that? Anyone out there to help me out?
