How to become a blonde fast?

my hair is like a very dark brown...i wanna get like a blondish color kinda like the spanish or white girl from the cheetah girls...what's the easiest, cheapest, and quickest way to get to that color? i still have xmas shoppin to do so i wanna save money so i dont wanna waste alot of money goin to the salon but i do want my hair to look like it wasnt cheap or anything, i wanna get it done by the holidays so help please!!
