In the US era of segregation/Jim Crow, blacks and whites were separate. But what of Asians, latinos etc ?

Public facilities like washrooms, water coolers, bus shelters etc were separate, marked "Whites Only"or "Negroes (old, non-PC name for African Americans/citizens of colour) Only". Violators were subject to arrest and taken before a magistrate for judicial remand or else mauled by vicious police dogs whilst the constables on duty jeered and called the citizens of colour by the most offensive of epithets.In this scenario, where did other races such as Asians, latinos, Amerindians, Aborigine/Maori, gypsies, Aztec/Inca/Maya, Native Alaskans/Yukoners etc etc fit in?
